16 Jun Visual Journey Around Japan
Judy Doughty – Marketing Assistant Luxury and Expedition Cruises
I’ve long had interest in travelling to Japan – so the opportunity to cruise around this unique destination on-board Heritage Adventurer was a realisation of this long-held ambition.
The 16 day trip (Japan’s National Parks, Art & Culture) circumnavigated the main island of Honshu and made visits to Japan’s three other main islands (Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku) as well as a day in the South Korean port city of Ulsan.
Here I’ve chosen a few of may favourite images to whet your appetite.
My voyage started and ended in Osaka, Japan’s second largest city. Cruising at night meant we could spend each day exploring the many wonders of Japan.

I added the bullet train to Tokyo and a trip to Kyoto to round off my Japanese experience.
