ITINERARY SUMMARY

DAY 1 WYNDHAM

Start your adventure by joining the coach transfer in Kununurra, before arriving on board the magnificent True North. Enjoy a relaxing overnight journey to the spectacular King George River.

DAY 2 KING GEORGE RIVER

As soon as the tide is high enough, cross the sand bar at the mouth of the mighty King George to reveal a breathtaking river vista. Your journey upstream will take you to the very ‘jewel in the crown’ – The King George Falls. The captain will position True North’s bow directly underneath the falls, giving guests the shower of a lifetime. Then, hop in the ship’s helicopter to enjoy a magnificent bird’s-eye view of this Kimberley icon.

DAY 3 EAGLE FALLS

Today, visit the Gwion Gwion, also known as the Bradshaw rock art – ancient paintings that may be the oldest known to man. Afterwards, fish for mackerel in Vansittart Bay, take a helicopter to Eagle Falls for a picnic lunch amidst breathtaking scenery, or tender to local beaches and creeks.

DAY 4 MITCHELL RIVER

Cascading Mitchell Falls Kimberley Region in North Western Australia

Today, head upriver to the scenic Surveyors Creek, known for its big crocodiles. You’ll then have the option to join the hunt for barramundi or hop in the chopper for a ride over the ancient landscape towards the breathtaking Mitchell Falls. Then, join the team and your fellow passengers for the exclusive pearl and diamond party.

DAY 5 HUNTER RIVER

With stunning red cliffs set against rainforest and mangroves, the Hunter River offers the perfect setting for mud-crabbing, bird-watching, and exploring. Embark on an exhilarating hike to the hidden Jackson Falls, or see more breathtaking views from the helicopter. Then, in the afternoon, set sail into Prince Frederick Harbour for sunset drinks on the picturesque Crystal Beach.

DAY 6 PRINCE REGENT FALLS

Start your day with an early morning fishing expedition, or join the ship’s naturalist and go exploring in one of the adventure boats. Then, indulge in a breathtaking True North Heli Picnic and experience unforgettable views and gourmet delights.

DAY 7 KING CASCADES

At Prince Regent River, you’ll have your pick of unmissable fishing spot, targeting mangrove jack and fingermark bream. Then, at King Cascades, the vessel will be manoeuvred right under the falls for an iconic True North experience. Later, head out for a bush walk that leads to incredible views and an equally incredible swim in a picture-perfect billabong, or visit the spectacular Amphitheatre Waterfall.

DAY 8 MONTGOMERY REEF

Today, rise at dawn to catch barramundi at “Three Ways”, followed by a bush walk to Ruby Falls, where you can swim in its refreshing natural rock pool. Then, embark on a Heli Fishing adventure to a secret, remote location. Lunch will be served as the anchor is lifted and you cruise to another Kimberley icon – Montgomery Reef. Here, witness a spectacular 140 square miles of coral reef rising right out of the ocean, home to turtles, dugongs, crocodiles, and a whole world of remarkable sea creatures.

DAY 9 TALBOT BAY

Start the day by exploring the spectacular Yampi Sound, where you’ll have the opportunity to sight-cast for ravenous barramundi. Jacks, fingermark, and threadfin will also be on the list of fish to target. Later, return to the True North for an overnight cruise to the magnificent Rowley Shoals.

DAYS 10 – 13 CLERKE REEF & ROWLEY SHOALS

On day 10, the sun rises over the glorious Clerke Reef with its vast lagoon and extensive outer reef. Guided by your expert crew, snorkellers and divers will have the chance to explore the crystal-clear waters, teeming with vibrant fish and corals. Beachcombers can explore Bedwell Island, while anyone keen on fishing can catch and release in the lagoon.

 

Start day 11 with a visit to the spectacular Aquarium, a destination that rivals the Great Barrier Reef. The water is only waist-deep, but the experience is truly once in a lifetime. Discover vibrant corals, giant clams, and over 600 of the world’s most beautiful fish species. After lunch, enjoy a thrilling drift-snorkel through the outer reef.

 

Wake up to day 12 in paradise and experience the thrill of snorkelling on the outer reef. With its breathtaking sheer coral walls, this vibrant ecosystem is home to humpback whales, manta rays and sailfish. End the day with sunset drinks on the beach.

 

Spend the entirety of day 13 exploring the outer reef of this remote and untouched wilderness. As evening falls, embark on the overnight journey to Broome. Join the crew for the Captain’s Party and unwind with drinks and cocktails in the lounge.

DAY 14 BROOME

Arrive in Broome for an early morning coach transfer to your accommodation or connecting flights. Know that your crew is already looking forward to the next opportunity to welcome you aboard the True North.
